From Jupiters Casino to The Star Gold Coast
The resort opened in November 1985 as Conrad Jupiters Casino and Resort. It was Queensland’s first casino and quickly became one of the most recognisable tourism and entertainment properties on the Gold Coast.
The Conrad branding was later removed, and the destination became widely known as Jupiters Hotel & Casino. Following a major redevelopment and the introduction of a unified brand across the operator’s Australian properties, Jupiters was renamed The Star Gold Coast in 2017.
The change was more than a new name. It reflected the property’s transformation from a traditional casino hotel into a broader integrated resort with several accommodation towers, expanded dining, premium leisure facilities and major event spaces.
